— A state panel will meet today to discuss changing South Carolina tax breaks.

The state Tax Realignment Commission meeting at the Statehouse plans to discuss state taxes on fuel as well as a streamlined sales tax and an overview of the state’s property tax exemptions.

It’s also hearing county concerns about the automobile dealer license tags.

The panel’s final recommendations for tax law changes are due before legislators return to Columbia in January.
