Graham M. Eubank Jr. of Charleston-based Palmetto Ford has been elected president of the S.C. Automobile Dealers Association for 2010-2011, effective July 1. Also, Doug McElveen of Summerville-based McElveen Pontiac Buick GMC Inc. was elected vice president for the group's coastal district. The Columbia-based trade association's coastal district board members are: Harold Arnold III of Harold Arnold's Sentry Buick GMC in Charleston; Mark Hoover of Hoover Mitsubishi in Charleston; Bucky Morris of Morris Nissan in Charleston; Scott Rizer of Rizer Chevrolet Co. Inc. in Walterboro; and Jerry Stokes of Stokes Automotive Group in Beaufort.

Jim Newsome, chief executive officer of the S.C. State Ports Authority, has been named a recipient of the Containerization & Intermodal Institute's East Coast-based Connie Award for 2010.

Marilyn M. Swygert, president of Charleston Physical Therapy, has received the Lucy Blair Service Award from the American Physical Therapy Association for her involvement in legislative issues and the association's state chapter.

Jason Blackstock of Landmark Construction Co. Inc. has been named project manager and superintendent of the year award from the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas.

Reid Davis and Taylor Senter of Anchor Commercial|CORFAC International represented the landlord, Brookes and Brookes LLC, in the lease of a 1,275-square-foot office at 130 River Landing Dr., Daniel Island, to Student Transportation of America Inc.

WCIV-TV ABC News 4 has been received a 2010 Edward R. Murrow Awards in Region 8 for best newscast by the Radio and Television News Directors Association. The Mount Pleasant station also was received a Murrow award for best documentary for "South Carolina Energy Future."

CarolinaBizBuySell and Coldwell Banker Commercial have merged to form Coldwell Banker Commercial Mergers & Acquisitions. Gino Calejo is managing partner.

The Summerville office of Dorchester County Farm Bureau has relocated, effective July 1, to 315 N. Magnolia St. in Summerville. Thomas B. Toney represented the landlord, S.C. Property LLC, in the lease transaction. Brook Dantzler represented the tenant.

Patrick Price with The PrimeSouth Group represented the landlord and Edward Robinson and Eddie Hughes of Beach Commercial represented the tenant, Brett McKee's Restaurant Group and O-Ku Restaurant, in the leasing of 463 King St. in Charleston.

Richard Getman, owner of Mount Pleasant-based Getman Financial Planning, has obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

College of Charleston police chief Paul Verrecchia has been installed as president-elect of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Officers Association. He also was named the recipient of the association's President's Award.

Trey Lucy and Blair Belk of Grubb & Ellis|WRS represented the landlord in leasing a 1,000 square feet of space to Susan Druschel & Associates LLC on Hawthorne Drive in North Charleston. They also represented the landlord in leasing a 936-square-foot retail space to Tech Savvy Kids Club at 295 Seven Farms Dr. on Daniel Island.

Mickey Williams Studio-Gallery has relocated to 132 East Bay St. in Charleston.

Engineers Without Borders has established a chapter in Charleston. The group's 2010 directors are: Michael Cain of Hussey Gay Bell Deyoung Inc.; Angela Musselwhite of S&ME; Chris Carleston of Transystems; and Janel Kaufman of HDR.

Tommy Silver of Palmetto Commercial Properties represented the landlord, Sea Island Shopping Center of Mount Pleasant LLC, in the leasing of 2,200 square feet in Sea Island Shopping Center, 1220 Ben Sawyer Blvd., Mount Pleasant, to Dante's Spirits LLC.

Reid Davis of Anchor Commercial|CORFAC International represented the tenant, RoHoHo Inc., doing business as Papa John's, in leasing a 2,000-square-foot building at 610 Wesley Dr. in Charleston.
