Haitian relief
NDG, which includes McCrady's Restaurant, Queen Anne's Revenge and The Buccaneer Restaurant, is extending its Restaurant Week promotion to Jan. 30 and will donate $5 from every meal sold off special menus to aid Haitian relief efforts.

Triangle Char and Bar, along with Pearlz and Al Di La in the Avondale area of West Ashley, are hosting an event to raise money for the Haiti relief efforts through the Red Cross. The Avondale Point Haiti Relief Benefit takes place 2-5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Triangle Char and Bar. The $20 admission includes barbecue, oysters and pasta along with drinks in the Beer & Wine Garden and live local music. All proceeds go directly to the Red Cross. Fundraisers
Charleston Crab House is hosting fundraising Fridays through January.
These "All You Can Eat Oyster Roasts" request a $20 or more per person donation of which 100 percent goes to charity. They take place from 6-9 p.m. on the deck.
Crab House will serve local clusters of oysters with all the trimmings and homemade chili. Drinks and other foods are available to purchase. Beneficiaries include Pet Helpers this week and Barrier Island Clinic on Jan. 29.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night, Huck's Lowcountry Table will donate 10 percent of its sales to local charities. Charleston Animal Society benefits on Tuesday, East Cooper Community Outreach on Wednesday and Ronald McDonald House on Thursday. Huck's is at 1130 Ocean Blvd., Isle of Palms. Call 886 -6772.

Poogan's Porch has rolled back its menu to 1978 prices Sunday through Thursday throughout January and February. Carolina's sold
Carolina's Southern Bistro, one of Charleston's oldest fine dining establishments at 10 Exchange St., has changed hands. Joseph A. Meloy has purchased the business from Richard Stoney of the Crew Carolina restaurant group. Chef Jeremiah Bacon is expected to remain on board.
Kitty's declawed
The folks that brought you Voodoo Tiki Bar and Lounge in West Ashley are in the process of transforming the former Kitty's Fine Foods at 1137 Morrison Drive into the tattooed Moose, a pub and deli. A March opening is planned.
Buccaneer changes
The Buccaneer Restaurant at 5 Faber St. has overhauled its menu to highlight local seafood and produce along with the regional dishes of the Lowcountry. Prices also have changed. Sunday brunch will continue along with a daily catch sheet and Early Bird menu at 4-6 p.m.
The Buccaneer tavern also debuted last week. On the menu are premium beers, craft draughts and live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
