Heritage quiz

SoftBlue Partners and the Avery Research Center of African-American History and Culture will hold a youth competition on African-American history 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Avery Center, 125 Bull St.

The Heritage Kids Quiz Competition is for teens ages 14-18. Students will use their knowledge of African-American history and culture to compete for cash prizes and awards. Team members will answer questions in the areas of sports, arts, science, politics and business.

Space is limited. Interested contestants can call the Avery Research Center at 953-7609.
