Bracelets
About 174,000 Papyrus Brand greeting cards with bracelets, manufactured in China and imported by Schurman Fine Papers of Fairfield, Calif., because the paint coating the bracelets contains high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children. No incidents have been reported. The cards were sold at card shops and other stores between February 2004 and September 2009. Detail: by phone at 888-990-9095.
Jackets
About 210,000 jackets for children, manufactured in China and imported by GTM Sportswear Inc. of Manhattan, Kan., because the drawstrings through the hood pose a strangulation hazard to children. No incidents have been reported. The jackets were sold at screen print and embroidery stores nationwide, as well as online at www.gtmsportswear.com, www.kstategear.com, www.catscloset.com and www.justforkix.com and in the GTM Sportswear and Just for Kix catalogs. In Kansas, they were sold at GTM Sportswear, K-State Super Store, and Cats Closet. They were available between January 2003 and December 2009. Toy jewelry
252,000 Tiny Tink and Friends toy jewelry sets for children, manufactured in China and imported by Playmates Toys of Costa Mesa, Calif., because a metal cylinder on a charm included in the sets contains high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children. No incidents have been reported. The sets were sold nationwide between November 2008 and November 2009. Details: by phone at 888-810-1133; by Web at www.playmatestoys.com.
Toy guns
About 9,600 toy gun sets, made in China and sold at Dollar General stores, because the orange tips on the end of the toy guns' barrels can easily be removed, posing a choking hazard to children. No injuries or incidents have been reported. The recall involves Special Forces Weapons and Accessories sets and SWAT Police Play Equipment sets. Each set includes two toy guns and accessories. They were sold at Dollar General stores in 35 states from September through October last year.
Shells
Pierino Frozen Foods Inc. is recalling its 24-ounce packages of "Jumbo Shells with Cheese" because the pasta products contain eggs, which are not declared on the packaging. Those who have an allergy to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they eat the products. The Lincoln Park, Mich., company said it is aware of one confirmed reaction reported by a consumer. The recalled "Jumbo Shells with Cheese" products were distributed in retail stores in Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida.
