When: Feb. 12-14.

Details: Anne Fontaine is again celebrating SEWE by donating 15 percent of all weekend store sales to the Charleston Animal Society. Treats will be offered for dogs and their owners.

What: Cat adoption specials.

When: Saturday.

Where: Pet Helpers Adoption Center, 1447 Folly Road, James Island.

Prices: Cats over 3 years old are half-off the adoption fee. A free Cat First Aid Kit will be given with adoption.

What: Pet Helpers Tom Cat Blitz.

Who: Pet Helpers.

When: Feb. 21.

Where: Pet Helpers Spay and Neuter Clinic, 1447 Folly Road.

Details: Male cat neuter-a-thon. Appointments required. Cost: $15 per cat. Two vaccines are required: cat owners need to show proof of current rabies and FVRCP (Distemper combo) vaccinations or they may get the vaccines on the day of the surgery for $5 per shot. Microchips are also available for $10.

Who: Isle of Palms Recreation Department.

When: 10 a.m. Feb. 27.

Details: Dog licenses; Pet photos and local rescues will be available. Participants should register by Feb. 26. There will be no registration on show day.

What: Paws Go Red.

Who: MUSC, The American Heart Association, Pet Helpers.

When: Feb. 28.

Where: James Island County Park.

Details: Human and canine health fair with health screenings for dogs and owners, photo sessions, more. Entry to the park is $1.

What: Adopt-A-Thon.

Who: Charleston Animal Society.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. first and third Saturday of every month.

Where: PetSmart in Belle Hall Shopping Center, Long Point Road.
