KB Home plans picnic, open house at Summerville neighborhood

National builder KB Home is hosting a Valentine’s Day event at its Waterside Landing community in Summerville from noon to 3 p.m. today. There will be a bounce house, Valentine’s crafts for kids, giveaways and a catered lunch. Radio station B92 will be broadcasting live, and attendees can enter to win a $100 gift card to Grill 225 in Charleston.

At the same time, home shoppers will be able to tour model homes from the builder's new line of affordable, flexible and energy-efficient dwellings.

Located off Dorchester Road in Summerville, Waterside Landing offers one- and two-story home designs from The Open Series. They range from 1,210 to 2,726 square feet with three to four bedrooms, two to three baths and two-car garages. Houses are priced from the $120,000s. New home designs feature open, airy spaces with an abundance of natural light.

To visit Waterside Landing, take Interstate 26 to exit 199A toward Summerville. Travel 7.9 miles through downtown Summerville and turn left on Dorchester Road. Go .4 miles and the community will be on the right. For more information, call (843) 771-1203 or visit www.kbhome.com.
