Korn to transfer from Clemson to Marshall
By Travis Sawchik
CLEMSON – Willy Korn announced today that he is transferring to Marshall.
Korn will compete for the starting quarterback job with the Thundering Herd, which has a new coaching staff led by Doc Holliday.
Korn couldn't secure the starting position in three years at Clemson, after arriving as one the most heralded recruits in recent Tigers' history.
Korn will again have competition.
Marshall returns starting quarterback Brian Anderson who completed just 58 percent of his passes, including 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season. And Korn will miss Marshall's spring practice as he graduates from Clemson, making him eligible to transfer to a Football Bowl Subdivision school without penalty.
