Lunch and Learn: Marti Chitwood will lead 45-minute health and nutrition classes at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Life Guidance Center, 3030 Ashley Town Center Drive, and Thursdays at Spirit Moves, 445 Savannah Highway. She also will conduct a two-hour class from 1-3 p.m. every third Sunday of the month at Spirit Moves. The first class is free (except Sunday class); each additional class is $15 (Wednesday/Thursday) or $25 (Sunday).

TASTE THE TRADITION: European-trained chef Deb Howieson takes participants to a different country each week. Series of demonstration classes 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays through March 4, designed for beginners and accomplished cooks. Upcoming are Parisian Bistro, Madrid's Tapas, Sorrento (southern Italy), Burgundy and Northern Spain. Classes are $30. Held at James Island Community School, Fort Johnson Road. Register: 762-2793.
