Yard Art
Wicked, wacky or just a little tacky, when it comes to yard art in the Lowcountry, there are plenty of pieces worth stopping to consider. Each piece can be a window into the personality of the owner. They include beloved figures such as gnomes or farm implements. Some are interpretations of insects. And others are items inspired by literature or history, combined with a dash of whimsy to keep things interesting. Here are some of our readers' favorites.

They include beloved figures such as gnomes or farm implements with a past. Some are interpretations of insects that don't come around much anymore. And others are items inspired by literature or history, combined with a dash of whimsy to keep things interesting.
On this page and The Post and Courier's website, are about 50 images of yard art sent in by readers eager to share their favorites.
Some of them will instantly be recognizable, but others will be seen and enjoyed for the first time. All of them are worth taking time to consider.
