Lunch and Learn: Clemson Extension Master Gardeners are offering Sowing & Growing, lunch and learn classes starting Sept. 8. Local experts and Master Gardeners will offer classes on native plants, residential rainwater harvesting, fall floral designs and growing citrus in the Lowcountry. Plant swap: The third annual Fall Plant Swap takes place Sept. 25. Attendees at the free event swap their extra shrubs, divisions, house plants, garden art and tools. Flowerscapes for Sponsorship: Those interested in becoming a flowerscape sponsor in North Charleston can help Keep North Charleston Beautiful to maintain an existing flowerbed in a city park. Some maintenance tasks would include weeding, installing pine straw, deadheading flowers and pruning.
