Today

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will present its first “Summer Cool Down” Indoor Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Omar Shrine Temple, 176 Patriots Point Road in Mount Pleasant. This was a pre-registration show only. Spectators are welcome and there is no charge. There will be 30 trophies awarded by class size and a Sponsor’s Choice Best in Show trophy. Classes will be Corvettes; sport compacts; Mustangs; street rods; trucks; and years 1900-62, 1963-71, 1972-89, 1990-2005 and 2006-present. Proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. • A cruise-in will be held 6-8 p.m. at Andolini's Pizza on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. The event is free and open to everyone. Contact Brad Lustig at (843) 367-1060 or bradlustig@earthlink.net for more information.

• Low Country Harley-Davidson is hosting a “Women-Only Garage Party” 6-9 p.m. at the retail outlet, 4707 Dorchester Road. The event is free for women looking to learn how to operate a motorcycle.

• The Back to the Drive-in Car Show sponsored by Palmetto Cruisers will be 1-7 p.m. at Sonic Drive In, 2421 W. Palmetto St. in Florence. Registration, from 1 to 3 p.m., is $20. Call Davy McClary at (843) 621-1946 for more information.

Wednesday

• Bessinger’s Bar-B-Q will host an Open Car, Truck & Motorcycle show 6-9 p.m. at the restaurant at 1602 Savannah Highway. Registration is $5. Classes are street rods, trucks, motorcycles and cars for years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-71 and 1972-2010. Three trophies per class will be awarded. The Cruise-O-Matics will perform. Sept. 12

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will hold its monthly meeting at the Holiday Inn at 5264 International Blvd., near Tanger Outlet in North Charleston. It will begin at 2:30 p.m. to socialize, with the club meeting to follow at 3 p.m. Members and interested Corvette owners are invited to attend. Note different location. Sept. 15

• Duke’s Barbecue and Bill Bennett Classic Cars will present the Top 10 Open Car Show at Duke’s, 949 Robertson Blvd. in Walterboro. There will be top 10 awards for model years 1900-2011, plus “best in show” sponsored by Blocker Boys. Registration is $5. The events are every third Wednesday or the month with future shows on Oct. 20 and Nov. 17. Sept. 16

• The monthly Third Thursday Cruise-In, formerly known as Cruisin the Georgetown Boardwalk, will be held 6-8 p.m. in Georgetown. Meet at the Thomas Supply parking lot next to Hardee’s on Church St. (U.S. Highway 17). The event is free. Winyah Cruisers is the event sponsor.

Sept. 17

• A Car Display will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at old Myrtle Square Mall in Myrtle Beach. It will be in conjunction with the At the Square Fall Festival of the SASA Shriners 2010. Contact Rusty Jones at (843) 997-8611 or Karl Marzoff at (843) 222-5439 for more information.

Sept. 18

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will present the Marchant Chevrolet Open Car, Bike & Truck Show, sponsored by Marchant Chevrolet. The event will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Marchant Chevrolet, 5700 Savannah Highway in Ravenel. Registration, which is $10 per vehicle, begins at 11 a.m. Thirty trophies will be awarded by class size. There also will be Sponsor’s Choice trophies. Classes are Corvettes; motorcycles; sport compact; Mustangs; street rods; trucks; and years 1900-62, 1963-71, 1972-89, 1990-2005 and 2006-present. Sept. 19

• The Goodwill Undy 500 motorcycle charity ride will start at 9 a.m. at Low Country Harley-Davidson, 4707 Dorchester Road. Kickstand up at 11 a.m. The ride will cover more than 100 miles across the Charleston area. Entry is $15 per driver and $10 per rider, plus a package of new undergarments and includes the ride and entrance to the afterparty 3-5 p.m. at California Dreaming. Free lunch coupon provided by Sonic. Undergarments collected will go to support veterans at the VA/Goodwill Stand Down in October. All proceeds will go to events and programs designed to benefit local veterans.

Sept. 24-26

• Darlington Historic Racing Festival Car Show & Swap Meet will be held at Darlington Raceway. Registration is $25. For more information, call Kenny Shelly at (843) 230-1074.

Sept. 25

• Lowcountry Travelers Car Club of Mount Pleasant will hold its annual car show 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Walmart parking lot at Wando Crossing Shopping Center in Mount Pleasant. Registration is $15. Classes are for years 1900-74, motorcycles included. Trophies will be awarded for all classes plus Best in Show. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at MUSC. • The Golden Leaf Festival Car Show, sponsored by Swamp Fox Old Car Club, will be held in Mullins. Registration, which is $20, will be 9 a.m.-noon. Contact Luther Johnson at (843) 430-0159.

• Cypress Festival-n-Car Show will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Main Street in Pamplico. There will be arts, crafts, rides and games. Registration is $25. The show organizer is Koss Motorsports.
