The Citadel to honor Sertoma tickets

Fans holding tickets to the 40th annual Sertoma Classic at Johnson Hagood Stadium will be able to exchange them for a complimentary general admission ticket to The Citadel's season opener against Chowan on Sept. 4.

Sertoma tickets can be exchanged in advance at the Department of Athletics' Ticket Office in McAlister Field House in advance or at the Johnson Hagood Stadium ticket office the day of the game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

For the second time in three years, the second night of the two-day Sertoma Classic was canceled Friday night due to heavy rain and flooding near the stadium. The second night of Sertoma will not be made up.

"We feel this is the right thing to do," The Citadel's athletic director Larry Leckonby. "We will welcome all Sertoma tickets to our home-opener against Chowan on Sept. 4, and hope those fans will enjoy themselves."
