16U SUMMERVILLE HAWKS BASEBALL TEAM: Summerville Hawks 16U baseball team have an open roster slot for the fall season that they are looking to fill with a top level player. CHARLESTON BEACH VOLLEYBALL AND SOCIAL CLUB: Coed 4's beach volleyball at Station 22 on Sullivans Island. NORTH CHARLESTON REC. DEPT. MEN'S FLAG FOOTBALL: The North Charleston Rec Dept. in a collaboration with the South Carolina Flag Football Association will play Division I and Division II leagues at MeadWestvaco Park beginning mid-September. NORTH CHARLESTON REC. DEPT. ADULT SOFTBALL: Will hold organizational meetings for the upcoming 2009 Fall Adult Softball on September 16 at 7 p.m. at the Felix C. Davis Community Center on Park Circle. Leagues offered are Weeknight Co-Ed, Weeknight Men's Industrial Leagues. League Fees will be discussed at this meeting. Entry fee includes NSA registration fee, league tournament, and awards. Co-Ed league is limited to the first nine teams to pay their entry fee. Men's league will accept the first six teams to pay their entry fee. All teams are urged to have a representative present at this meeting. MOUNT PLEASANT PUNT, PASS AND KICK COMPETITION: The Mount Pleasant Rec Dept.'s Park West Recreation Complex will host a local NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition on Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. This is a free competition open to gives boys and girls age 8-15 the opportunity to compete against each other in punting, passing and kicking. 5TH ANNUAL MOUNT PLEASANT HALF RUBBER WORLD SERIES: The Mount Pleasant Rec Dept. will host the 5th Annual Mount Pleasant Half Rubber World Series on Sept. 19 at the Park West Recreation Complex. All experience levels are invited to compete and prizes will be awarded. Games will take place throughout the day. Scott Koth at 884-2528.

MOUNT PLEASANT RECREATION KICKBALL AND DODGEBALL PROGRAMS: Registration for MPRD Kickball and Dodgeball programs is open through Sept. 21. Games will be played during the week this fall with occasional weekend play. Each program is offered for students in grades 9-12. MOUNT PLEASANT RECREATION BASKETBALL ACADEMY WITH DEBBIE ANTONELLI: Registration is open through Sept. 22 for the MPRD Basketball Academy, coached by Debbie Antonelli. The academy will be held Sept. 22, 24, 29 and Oct. 1 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the R.L. Jones Center. This instructional program is for ages 9-16 and offers participants the opportunity to learn and improve on their basketball skills. VELOCITY SPORTS PERFORMANCE FOOTBALL COMBINE: A free Football Combine for grades 5-8 on October 3, from 10 a.m.-noon. Deadline to sign-up is Oct. 1. Tests include 40-yard Dash, Vertical Jump, 5-10-5 Pro Agility Shuttle, Multi-Stage Push-Up Test. Space is filling quickly and limited to the first 150 athletes who call 284-1395 to register.

17th ANNUAL ISLE OF PALMS CONNECTOR RUN AND WALK FOR THE CHILD REGISTRATION: Is ongoing for the October 3 Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child 10K/5K run and 5K walk.
