Ashley Hall, Cyclones in final

The Ashley Hall volleyball team defeated St. Joseph's, 2-0, on Saturday to advance to the SCISA Class AAA state championship.

The Panthers (36-4) triumphed by scores of 25-17 and 25-16, and now face Porter-Gaud (22-4) for the state title on Tuesday at a site to be determined.

The Panthers previously beat St. Joseph's, 25-21 and 25-14.

On Saturday, Porter-Gaud defeated Cardinal Newman, 2-0 (25-14, 25-13), and then topped St. Joseph's, 2-0 (25-14, 25-13), to gain its berth in the final.
