Where: The Dog & Duck, Belle Hall Shopping Center.
Details: Join the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue on the patio. Members will be on hand taking adoption and foster applications.

What: Howl-O-Ween.
Who: Pet Helpers.
When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Where: Elks Lodge, 1113 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.
Details: Costumed dogs have the opportunity to win prizes in several categories. The "Best in Show" winner will receive a custom painting from local artist Kevin Rockwell. The entry fee per animal is $10.

What: St. Frances Animal Center third annual Masquerade Mutt Strut.
When: 10 a.m., Saturday.
Where: King and Front streets, Georgetown.
Details: Dress your pets and yourselves. The event include contests, prizes, food, exhibits, adoptable pets and more. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. and ends at East Bay Park. Registration is $10

What: Palmetto Paws Howl-A-Ween Party.
When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
Where: Palmetto Paws, Northcutt Plaza, 976-D Houston Northcutt Blvd., Mount Pleasant.
Details: Costume contests, trick-or-treating, refreshments and more. Costume judging at 1 p.m. sharp.

What: Fur Bollywood: fifth annual Fur Ball Gala.
Who: Pet Helpers.
When: 6:30-11 p.m. Nov. 6.
Where: Memminger Auditorium.
Details: This is a black-tie event where Bollywood attire and saris are encouraged. The evening includes a silent auction, live auction, hors d'oeuvres and dinner by Barry Waldrop of True Charleston Cuisine.

Who: Isle of Palms Recreation Department.
When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 7.
Where: 24 28th Ave, Isle of Palms.
Details: Cats and dogs only. The fee is $45 for Isle of Palms residents and $50 for nonresidents.

What: Meet and Greet.
Who: Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue.

Where: PetSmart, West Ashley.
Details: The Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue will have fostered goldens looking to meet their forever families.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. first and third Saturday of every month.
