Art and music will make you Blume tonight at colorful Club Pantheon event
Take Friday off from work. Thursday night is the underground art show Blume.
At 9 p.m., the night begins with an artist's reception. The walls of Club Pantheon transform to one of Charleston's most inclusive, progressive art galleries representing 35 local artists with mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, video art, photography and collage.
At 10:30 p.m., the Charleston Women's Collective will perform a traditional African tribal dance; local DJ's NeonGolden, JeffyT, CMNDer, Machete, DJ Sonar, and Rocky Horror will keep the dance party going until 2 a.m.

The last Blume event was packed with an eclectic mix of Charleston locals. This year's event happens tonight, and will again be at Club Pantheon.
As if that's not enough, local artists Karen Ann Meyers and Scott Debus will be doing live painting throughout the night and design team Manufactur will be screen-printing T-shirts.
Temporary tattoos that have been designed by local artists, such as Nathan Durfee, will be available to be painted onto patrons' skin.
A video lounge will be set up with couches outdoors so that people can smoke and watch animated short films submitted by local artists.
Blume Body will be the fifth art show to take place at Club Pantheon; the theme this year is inspired by the human figure.
Prices for the art starts at $15 and goes up to $1,000 with 20 percent of the art sales proceeds going to Conscious Alliance and the Charleston Women's Collective.
Liz Vaughan, Matt Bowers and Rachael Gillon are the organizers and curators of Blume and have been since its inception two years ago. The three worked on a grassroots level with their friends to create an underground, word-of-mouth art event that continues to grow each year without any sponsorship.
"(Blume) came from the need for emerging artists to have a venue space that was inclusive; a place that would represent emerging and established artists networking with one another. It's grown into this beautiful community thing," said Vaughan.
Blume is also an unpretentious, eco-friendly event. All the advertising is screen printed or spray painted on the back of old posters or on luggage tags. Fliers are handed out individually by the co-creators and friends.
Last spring, more than 400 people attended Blume. The organizers are expecting more to attend this year.
