Trident Academy plans College Fair
Trident Academy's College Fair for Students With Learning Disabilities will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the school, 1455 Wakendaw Drive, Mount Pleasant.
Representatives from more than a dozen colleges will answer questions about their programs as well as the transition for a student with learning disabilities. Trident Academy's career counselor also will be able to answer questions.

Laing PTA to host fall fest, craft fair
Laing Middle School PTA will host a Fall Festival & Craft Fair 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 14 at Laing Middle School (old Wando Campus), 1560 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, to raise funds for teacher supplies and school improvements.
The school is looking for crafters, food vendors and booths for the Kid Zone. Electricity is limited, so this will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $25 for a 12-by-12 space.
