Savannah was reported stolen from her home n Bamberg on Sept. 22.

Savannah is a beautiful blond with loving eyes and a heart of gold. She is a loving mother and the best friend you could ask for. On Sept. 22, someone abducted Savannah during a robbery in Bamberg. The robbers stole guns and prescription medication.

Savannah and Coleman Roberts moved to Bamberg from Summerville so that they could have a better life in a safer community. Her family is beside themselves with worry and grief. They say there's no hope of finding Savannah. In cases like this, they never find them alive.

Savannah is an American pit bull terrier. She is a pet, not one of those that you would find at a dog fight or chained up to a stake. Savannah is kind and gentle, loving and gracious.

Coleman adopted Savannah from a breeder. She had never been socialized or walked on a leash, and she had never been played with. Savannah had just a few litters of puppies when Coleman was given the opportunity to adopt her.

The dedication that Coleman has for Savannah and that Savannah has for Coleman are so strong. I have never seen any pet love its master the way Savannah loves Coleman.

The horrible people who abducted Savannah most likely will use her as a bait dog for pit bull fights. Savannah is old and tired. She most likely will die a painful death trying to defend herself.

I am the proud owner of one of Savannah's daughters. Savannah became sick after giving birth to 13 beautiful puppies; she was not able to care for them. Savannah's puppies came to live with me at a day old. We bottle fed them every two hours.

Most people think that American pit bill terriers are mean and will attack; they believe that they maul people for pleasure. That is not true; Savannah is loving and kind.

Everyone in the town, the county and the state should be looking for this beautiful, faithful and dedicated pet. I, for one, will not stand by to see her abduction go unreported, uninvestigated.

The kind of person that takes an American pit bull terrier is ruthless; they will chain her up in the woods somewhere so that people will not hear her barking, crying for help. People like this will kill Savannah and other loving and beautiful pets for their enjoyment.

Be a savior. If you know where she is being held captive or others like her, please report it to your local law enforcement office. Give Savannah and other American pit bull terriers the love and respect that they deserve.
