Mosaic, ceramic and wood candle gardens are selling for $5 at Family Dollar stores. Similar items can be found at other discount stores, including Dollar General and Dollar Tree.
Gardening gloves for men and women, including those made with cowhide, latex and cotton are selling at Sears and Kmart for 97 cents to $4.99. Look for small picture frames for $5 or less that can be made so special when they include a photo that captures a moment from long ago or a piece of family history. Pick a photo with an image from summer at camp, a birthday party or graduation. PetSmart and Superpetz carry place mats that sell for $4.99 or less. Check other stores carrying supplies for Fido and Fluffy to locate similar cute gifts. You'll find mats that say cute things like "paws" and "woof" that will make the perfect gift for the pet on your list.
Clear glass containers like those sold at Target, Michaels and other stores make versatile, elegant gifts. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and when holding sea glass, colored sand, stones or other items can complement a home's decor. Expect the containers to be priced at $3 and up.
Dr. Bronner's certified organic soaps, including scents such as eucalyptus, peppermint and tea tree, sell for under $5 a bar at stores such as Books, Herbs and Spices on Spring Street and Whole Foods in Mount Pleasant. The company's 2 oz. and 4 oz. liquid soaps sell for less than $5, too.
