Thanksgiving Day Meals
Free Thanksgiving Day meals in the Lowcountry:
WITHOUT WALLS MINISTRY: Without Walls Ministry is rallying Charleston churches and businesses to prepare a free Thanksgiving feast for the homeless and others in need. The holiday meal will be served from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in Hampton Park.
About 300 volunteers will serve 50 turkeys, 30 hams and all the fixings. Entertainment, children's activities and a winter clothing giveaway will accompany the meal.

VFW POST 10624: Glenn L. Jeffers Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10624 will host Thanksgiving dinner from 2 to 4 p.m Thursday. The post is located at 1411 Stuart Engals Blvd. in Mount Pleasant. VFW POST 9509: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (VFW) 9509 in Moncks Corner will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner for all veterans at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Meals will be served until the last veteran is fed. The post is located at 1142 S. Live Oak Drive. For more information call 843-761-8713.
McCLELLANVILLE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH: McClellanville First Baptist Church, 1064 S. Pinckney St., will host a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday for anyone in McClellanville without a place to go on Thanksgiving Day. There will be a presentation commemorating the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Hugo. Dinner will follow.
