McAdams, also known as Miranda Craven, also is a suspect in another home invasion that same day in which guns were stolen from a man on Hayne Street, he said.

McAdams and Paul Lynn Ely, 35, of Goose Creek are accused of forcing their way into a Tedder Street home about 2 p.m. Saturday after she went to the door asking for money, deputies said.

Ely is accused of striking one man in the head numerous times with a club while McAdams reportedly chased a second man with a knife.

They allegedly escaped with $9, according to arrest affidavits.

About 6:45 p.m. the same day, a 67-year-old Hayne Street man told deputies that Ely and another man forced their way into his mobile home and struck him in the head with a large flashlight.

The men searched the victim's home, stole four rifles and then drove off with two other people waiting outside in a car, according to a police report.

Deputies tracked the car to a home on Tipson Street, where they arrested four people in connection with the theft.

Facing burglary, assault and robbery charges are Ely and Terrance Adderrel Meyers, 36, of North Charleston, Clark said. Patrick Dewayne Pickens, 43, of Hanahan, and Eric P. Bryan, 35, of North Charleston are charged with burglary and armed robbery.

Ely also faces charges in the Tedder Street home invasion, he said.

Detectives have not yet recovered the rifles stolen from the Hayne Street home, Detective Al Casale said.

McAdams is being investigated as a suspect in that crime, but she presently faces charges only in the Tedder Street robbery, Casale said.
