One killed in wreck on Highway 17-A

One person is dead following a head-on collision involving a car and a logging truck on Highway 17-A near Summerville.
The highway currently is closed from Dorchester Road to Highway 61 and detours are in place as authorities work to clear logs from the highway. The logs were scattered when the truck overturned.
Lane Cpl. Bob Beres of the state Highway Patrol said one person died in the wreck, which is still under investigation.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
