Veterans Day Parade
Charleton's Veterans Day Parade, sponsored by the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, featured a C-17 flyover, marching bands, historic military vehicles, motorcycle groups and veterans service organization floats. The grand marshal was award-winning combat photographer and Iraq War veteran Stacy Pearsall of Goose Creek.
Veterans Day Parade spectators came out to Broad Street on Sunday afternoon to honor veterans, including 89-year-old John Dilligard (foreground) who fought in World War II. He was accompanied by Mark Herron, driving the 1942 Willys jeep, along with Royal Navy veterans Mike Starkey (rear left) and John Hamer. The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center sponsored the parade with award-winning combat photographer and Iraq War veteran Stacy Pearsall of Goose Creek serving as the grand marshal.
