More Cody honors

Austin Cody of North Charleston has been named to the second team of the American Junior Golf Association's Rolex Junior All-America team. Cody, 17, is a three-time Rolex Junior All-American and had four top-10 finishes in national tournaments in 2009. He is No. 16 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Hurricane Junior Tour

Grant Waggoner of North Charleston shot 74-68--142 and finished second in the boys 13-15 age division of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event played at Laurel Island Links in Kingsland, Ga. Jackson Moore of Isle of Palms finished third in the 13-15 age group with a 74-72--146. Caulder Moore finished in the top 10 in the boys 16-19 age group.

Cuthbert Cup

Ryan Castle birdied the third hole of sudden death to beat Michael Moseley and win the Open Flight 1 in the Cuthbert Cup Invitational TC Classic played at Miler Country Club. Castle posted a score of 71-69--140, while Michael Moseley shot 73-67--140. Other winners included: Flight 2 -- Craig English, 153; Jess Cuthbert, 155. Flight 3 -- Jeff Haselden, 168; Dave Glaesser, 170. Senior -- Steve Cotter, 146; Danny Dean, 150. Statesman -- Jim Boyle, 156; Don Williams, 162. TC Classic PGA Professional -- Kyle Dickey, 142; Bob Merryman, 144.

Berkeley Senior

Nick Avery posted a score of 141 to win the 11th annual Berkeley Senior Invitational by two strokes over Roger Newsome and Warren Peper. Phillip Farley finished fourth in the Championship A flight.
