And starring Nick Saban as himself

Just another crazy week between the goalposts.

Duke and North Carolina meet in a game with postseason implications for both teams. And the ball isn't round.

Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes has suspended himself for an eye-gouge "The Three Stooges" would have been proud of.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban has a role in the new movie "The Blind Side." He plays himself -- as the LSU head coach recruiting Michael Oher, who wound up going to Ole Miss.

South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier began the season chided for voting for Jevan Snead -- not Tim Tebow -- as the preseason All-SEC first-team quarterback. Only to have to face Ryan Mallett, the SEC's best passer, today in Fayetteville.

And my Pigskin Picks partner, Warren Peper, wears a Florida State tie in our postandcourier.com Webcast this week (OK, Warren, maybe it's not quite a garnet shade of red). But he picks Clemson.

Florida State at Clemson

The over-under for C.J. Spiller all-purpose yardage is 300.

Sapakoff pick: Clemson, 31-26.

Peper pick: Clemson.

South Carolina at Arkansas

Too many injuries on defense for the Gamecocks, including new additions Cliff Matthews and Chris Culliver.

Sapakoff pick: Arkansas, 30-28.

Peper pick: South Carolina.

Wofford at The Citadel

You know Wofford is having an uncharacteristically sour season when it is ranked sixth in the state in Jeff Hartsell's unparalleled Post and Courier Power Poll.

Sapakoff pick: The Citadel, 27-14.

Peper pick: The Citadel.

CSU at Presbyterian

Growing pains for winless Presbyterian, and the Blue Hose play at Clemson next season.

Sapakoff pick: CSU, 41-20.

Peper pick: Charleston Southern.

S.C. State at Howard

The Bulldogs are good enough to win an FCS playoff game.

Sapakoff pick: S.C. State, 38-11.

Peper pick: S.C. State.

LSU at Alabama

Somebody forgot to tell the Bayou Bengals they are not invited to the SEC Championship Game of the Century.

Sapakoff pick: LSU, 14-13.

Peper pick: Alabama.

Duke at North Carolina

You never know what to expect from the Tar Heels but Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis has been consistently impressive.

Sapakoff pick: UNC, 24-23.

Peper pick: North Carolina.

Maryland at N.C. State

The Wolfpack cannot afford to peek ahead to Clemson.

Sapakoff pick: N.C. State, 42-21.

Peper pick: N.C. State.

Oklahoma at Nebraska

Do Not Go Back to Ohio Day: Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops and Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini went to Youngstown's Cardinal Mooney High School.

Sapakoff pick: Oklahoma, 28-21.

Peper pick: Oklahoma.

Ohio State at Penn State

Toughest assignment of the season for maligned Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor, a Pennsylvania native.

Sapakoff pick: Penn State, 24-20.

Peper pick: Penn State.

Peper last week: 5-5. Season: 62-28.

Sapakoff last week: 6-4. Season: 63-27.
