Staff report
Friday, November 6, 2009
SPARTANBURG -- The Southern Conference will keep its baseball tournament in two South Carolina cities for the next three seasons.
Conference officials said Thursday they would hold the 2011 postseason tournament at Charleston's Riley Park, then go to Greenville's Fluor Field for 2012 and 2013.
The SoCon baseball tournament was played in Charleston for 19 straight seasons (1990-2008) before moving to Greenville last spring.
It was already announced that next year's baseball tournament would return to Riley Park, the home park of The Citadel and the Charleston RiverDogs of the South Atlantic League.
Football
The Charleston Hawks are hosting the Greenville Jaguars 7 p.m. Saturday at North Charleston High School.
Tickets are $8 at the gate.
