County and municipal election officials in Charleston, Berkeley and Colleton counties on Thursday reviewed and certified the results of Tuesday's elections, making the lists of winners official and changing none of the outcomes reported Tuesday night.

In the Mount Pleasant and Isle of Palms elections, mandatory recounts triggered by the small margins of victory in council races were conducted by Charleston County officials, confirming that Tuesday's unofficial results were correct.

In Moncks Corner, a tie vote between candidates for a Town Council seat was not changed by a routine review of provisional ballots, so there will be a Nov. 17 runoff election between incumbent Laura Perdue and challenger Johna Bilton.

The Berkeley County Election Commission announced Thursday morning that the runoff election will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moncks Corner Municipal Complex at 118 Carolina Ave.

In Charleston, there will also be a runoff election Nov. 17, between Ginger Rosenberg and Dean C. Riegel, the top vote-getters in a three-candidate contest for City Council District 10 in West Ashley. Polling times and locations will be the same as on Tuesday.

In Colleton County, officials in the towns of Cottageville and Lodge confirmed that they certified results Thursday.

Repeated attempts to reach Edisto Beach officials to confirm the results of their certification were unsuccessful.
