David Lynch, eat your heart out

"Twin Geeks," a comic film written and directed by Michael T. Owens of Charleston, will screen at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Cinebarre in Mount Pleasant.

Subtitled "The Zelinski Brothers Unleashed," the 90-minute flick introduces us to Jamal and John-David Zelinski, a pair of blokes who swear they're Chinese identical twins despite the fact they're not Asian and look nothing alike.

Jamal is "a bathroom attendant by day and a bluegrass-country rapper" by night. John-David wants to lay claim to the mantle of being the king of suburban thumb-fighters.

But their true geekiness is not revealed until they give some film students 24-hour access to their lives for a class project.

'New Moon' marathon at The Hippodrome

The Terrace Hippodriome will start a 26-hour marathon of "Twilight: New Moon," starting at midnight Nov. 19, ending at 2 a.m. Nov. 21. There will be prizes and giveaways, as well.

Call 724-9134 for tickets or go online to www.terracetheater.org. The Hippodrome is at 360 Concord Street, downtown.
