The Dorchester County Coroner has released the name of a man who died in a crash on Interstate-26 Monday.

Rogerio E. De Oliveira, age unknown, of Goose Creek died at the scene from massive head and body injuries, Coroner Chris Nisbet said.

Authorities say De Oliveira, originally from Brazil, was driving a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes when it ran off the interstate about 3:30 p.m.

The truck struck a tree in the median near the 185 mile marker, said Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bob Beres.

The wreck is under investigation.
