Dinners/events
tasting and signing: The Glass Onion restaurant at 1219 Savannah Highway will celebrate their featured wine for November, Hedges CMS, with a sampling 5-8 p.m. Monday. Also, local food writer Holly Herrick will sign copies of her "Southern Farmers Market Cookbook."
Beer dinner: Fiery Ron's Home Team BBQ, 2209 Middle St., Sullivan's Island, will host a Stone Brewing Co. beer dinner at 6: 30 p.m. Nov. 11. Reception and a four-course meal paired with beers, along with live music. $50, including souvenir glass. Reservations required; call 883-3131. Note: Regular menu not available that night.
Wine dinner: High Cotton, 199 East Bay St., 724-3815. High Cotton pays tribute to Tre Bicchieri wines at a wine dinner Nov. 11, part of a weeklong celebration of the restaurant's 10-year anniversary. The dinner will be hosted by Laura DePasquale, one of the very few female master sommeliers in the world. Begins at 6:30 p.m. with an hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by a four-course dinner with pairings of Tre Bicchieri award-winning wines. Bacon, Eggs & Beer: Hominy Grill and The Charleston Beer Exchange will celebrate a dual anniversary with a special Bacon, Eggs & Beer: The Beer for Breakfast Dinner, 6 p.m. Nov. 15.
