Gala to aid Children's Museum
The Children's Museum of the Lowcountry will hold its annual gala Thursday, celebrating six years of serving more than 550,000 children and their families across the Lowcountry.
The event, "Return to Wonderland," begins at 6:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails on the Ann Street museum's promenade, followed by dinner on the front lawn. Entertainment includes a live auction at 9 p.m. followed by dancing to live music.
The auction includes items such as a ski week in Driggs, Idaho, and a private dinner party catered by chef Brett McKee of Oak Steakhouse.
Tickets are $150 per person and are available at explore cml.org or by calling 853-8962, ext. 223.
Proceeds will go to support museum exhibit upgrades, community outreach programs, supplies and scholarships.
