Charges planned for driver in crash into Greenville home
Associated Press
Wednesday, May 6, 2009
GREENVILLE - A prosecutor says he plans to announce Wednesday what charges will be filed against the driver of a sports car that crashed into the back of a Greenville home, killing a man watching television.
Prosecutor Bob Arial says he received the investigation report Tuesday on the April 25 crash. He planned to spend the evening reviewing it and then advise troopers on what charges to file against 36-year-old John Ludwig Jr.
Troopers say Ludwig lost control of his Maserati, which drove several hundred feet across an open field before crashing through 62-year-old Frederic Bardsley's home.
Ludwig suffered minor injuries.
His lawyer, Billy Wilkins, says Ludwig is devastated over what happened.

Just how fast do you have to be going to travel "several hundred feet across and open field" before crashing through a home? The guy should be devastated, just like the family of the victim who thought that he was safe in his home.

He was probably playin around in a field and didn't realize that a house was in the field. I doubt he "lost control" for several hundred feet....
