Campbell takes aim at Brown

Carroll Campbell III wrote a letter Thursday to 1st District Rep. Henry Brown criticizing him for not doing enough to help secure money for the Port of Georgetown, the latest sign that the son of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell will run against Brown in next year's GOP primary.
"Georgetown Harbor has been left out and ignored in these plans," Campbell wrote Brown. "While I have opposed the stimulus bill due to its wasteful spending provisions and size, the federal government has no choice but to now spend these funds. I urge you to make an effort to ensure Georgetown Harbor receives equal treatment."
But Brown's office said he has helped secured more than $28 million for the port since entering Congress, according to a statement from his press secretary, Katie McKinney.

It's easy to take a shot when the target is so big. Henry Brown has ignored us for too long. He spends too much time on taxpayer-funded mailouts and not enough time on helping our economy.
