Man accidentally shoots self in knee

EDISTO ISLAND — An man accidentally shot himself in the knee Saturday.
The man was at his home on S.C. Highway 174, and as he got out of his vehicle with his handgun about 11 p.m. the gun fired, an incident report said.
It said the bullet entered his right knee and exited through the middle of his right shin.
