Man killed in Hampton County club shooting
Associated Press
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
HAMPTON - Authorities say a 20-year-old South Carolina man has died in a shootout at a night club.
Hampton County Coroner Gordon Rhoden says Isaiah Sanders of Estill died about 12:45 a.m. Monday at the B&B Disco in Scotia. Rhoden said numerous shots were fired. An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday.
WSAV-TV in Savannah, Ga., reports two females were shot and had non-life-threatening injuries.
A spokeswoman for the Hampton County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return a message Tuesday.
It was the second homicide in less than a day in rural Hampton County. A 39-year-old Varnville man was charged Monday with killing his wife, a day after hunters found her body in a ditch.
