Tow truck driver shot while repossessing pickup truck

I believe that did happen, Jammanofdi, but this does happen in the course of picking up vehicles that remain unpaid for. I was in the reposession/recovery business many years back, and I have seen it all. My boss was shot in Awendaw, and drove himself to East Cooper Hospital. Sorry, Melvin. You lose. Your car AND your freedom. How's it feel? Loser.

Why do these deadbeats think they get to keep their vehicles when they don't make the payments? They look at repossession as someone stealing their car. It belongs to the bank until that last payment is made.

Is a great friend of melvin haynes i use to work with him on the bridge, he was the best man in my brother wedding he did not shoot at that repo man for no reason he had a reason his brother and me spoke on this morning we work together at HOME DEPOT and that tow truck driver had the wrong dog on truck an wrong dang address so i mean that just my opinion on whats going on THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE DANG VIN

Because if you think that the best thing to do when you see a repo man taking your car (even if it was, as you claim, the wrong car) is to shoot the repo man, then you are a total idiot.

Take out your cell phone, SlickRicky, and program this number in: 911. I am not sure if you have ever heard of that number before, but it is pretty cool. It instantly connects you to the police, who would have been the right people to handle this situation. We don't need any more Melvin's or Ricky's out there going vigilante and shooting people who are just trying to do their jobs.

If Melvin Hayes (as opposed to Haynes, as you claim his name is) thinks it is okay to shoot an innocent repo man, then what makes you think he is the type of person who would make his car payments anyway?

Like I said, just please tell me this was all your idea of a joke!

Please follow up on this story. As another in the Repossession Industry I have had similar things happen to me. Unforunatly they were in Dorchester County and a man that tried to kill me didnt even get a ticket. This was after the officer that responded told me they would charge him with assault with intent to kill. The Tv shows and the covering of stories in cases of repossesion are made out to look like it is OK to go after the Repoman. Please follow this story to make sure the suspect is punished for this.

I have talked with the tow truck driver because he is a customer and a vendor of ours. Mr. Davis and his brother were both shot and this all occured in a short amount of time. Mr. Davis's brother was double checking the VIN as Mr. Davis was hooking the car up when the man came out shooting. Mr. Davis is a husband and father of two small children and was just trying to do his job!! His back is full of buckshot and his eye had buck shot in it as well. Since Mr Davis identified the shooter and there were weapons, and notice I said weaponS, recovered i hope justice is served quickly.

ok people,lets get one thing straight,when i got the call my boys were shot,my heart went wild,when we all got to hospital my grandson,the son of the tow truck driver,saw his dad he was just a crying for his daddy.his dad was doing his job and does it very will,now this man gets out on a low bond,this man tryed to kill my sons,you load 2 times and shot come on,you should see his truck,this so called of a man was trying to shot his head to kill him, but,thank god he ducked in time
if you can get out of jail, just like that ,you can pay your bills,
all of you tow truck drives,lets get together when his court date comes up and let
stand by my sons

Ah cool i saw chains and skipped a few lines .my bad.i wasnt there but i would have tried to have some kind conversation with the drivers.especially if i was in the right.like hey man you got the wrong guy or something.a few nice words and a few phonecalls could have avoided this totally.im sure they would have been receptive .at least a helluva a lot more than to a shotgun.lucky it wasnt buckshot.i saw a guy breaking in my car one night i opened the window.told him he had till i woke up for work to be gone with it.hell its insured take it have fun.the guy ran off of course but i tried.
