Auto repair

Sean Worrill recently joined Glasspro as an auto glass technician to handle auto glass replacements and repairs. Before joining Glasspro, Worrill worked for five years in the auto glass industry.

Construction

Buddy Parson has joined C.R. Hipp Construction Inc. as the general manager of the Hipp Service Division. He will be responsible for the sales, operations and management of the Service Division.

Education

Luke Blackmon was recently appointed vice president for business affairs at Charleston Southern University. He has more than 22 years experience in banking and finance. Jan Mims, formerly director of financial services, has been promoted to the position of associate vice president for business affairs. She has served at CSU for 17 years. Dr. Roland Bullard has been named dean of the College of Distance and Continuing Education at CSU. He has significant experience in student affairs, human resources, leadership development, student retention, adult programs and online education. The CSU residence life and campus safety department has been reorganized. Don Little, formerly director of residence life and campus safety, has been named director of campus security. He has been with the university for 14 years. Corey Humphries, formerly senior residence life coordinator, has been promoted to director of residence life. He is a graduate of CSU and recently completed his master's degree in criminal justice.

Finance

Rob Williams has joined Harbor Financial Group as a financial adviser. Previously, he was worked at A.G. Edwards and Wells Fargo Advisors. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of Charleston.

Health care

Tina Arnoldi, Allison Carrington, Jonas Coatsworth and Bernie Tourtual have joined Lowcountry Pastoral Counseling Center at its offices in Mount Pleasant, West Ashley and Summerville. They bring to the center a wealth of counseling experience from the public and private sectors, working with a variety of behavioral health issues.

Law

Taylor H. Stair has joined the law firm of Elmore & Wall PA as an associate in the Charleston office. He has a law degree from the Charleston School of Law. His practice concentrates on construction, insurance and medical malpractice.

Craig E. Burgess has joined Barnwell Whaley Patterson and Helms as special counsel. Burgess returns to Charleston from Atlanta, where he served as senior litigation counsel with BellSouth Corp. and its successor AT&T South. Prior to joining BellSouth, Burgess was an associate and then partner in the Charleston office of a regional law firm for 11 years. His areas of practice include commercial litigation, telecommunications law, products liability, lender liability, premises liability and personal injury. A native of Lake City, Burgess graduated from The Citadel and has a law degree from the University of South Carolina.

Caroline Bernard has joined the Martin Law Firm as an attorney. Most recently she was employed by Motley Rice practicing civil litigation. Before that, she served as an assistant solicitor for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office. She earned a bachelor of science from Louisiana State University and a law degree from Tulane University. She holds a certificate in maritime law. Bernard is licensed to practice law in both South Carolina and Louisiana. She will primarily be practicing in the areas of criminal, domestic and civil litigation.

The Charleston School of Law has hired Joshua D. Winneker to serve as its new director of career services. He will start July 1.

Winneker, most recently the assistant dean for career services at Seton Hall University School of Law, is a graduate of the university's law school, where he was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review and recipient of the Seton Hall Law Faculty Scholarship.

A former clerk for U.S. District Judge Garrett E. Brown Jr. of the District of New Jersey, Winneker worked for a Wall Street law firm in the white collar crime and securities division before joining Winston & Strawn LLP in New York and New Jersey as a general commercial litigator. A year and a half ago, Winneker took the assistant deanship at Seton Hall.

Winneker will direct the law school's private placement initiatives within the newly-constituted Office of Career Services, which will report directly to the dean.

Lodging

Amy Lainhoff has joined Charlestowne Hotels as e-commerce/marketing manager. Lainhoff holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University in Denver and will be responsible for the company's online marketing campaigns, market research projects and Web site optimization. Some of her past positions include research analyst at Hannah Marketing Group, marketing coordinator at Clifton Gunderson LLP, a national accounting firm, and most recently online marketing specialist at Dean Evans & Associates.

Real estate

Tammy R. Myrda has joined D.R. Horton Inc. as an on-site sales representative at Central Commons townhome community in Summerville. Previously she was an agent with Carolina One Real Estate. She has more than 20 years of industry experience as a loan processor, escrow officer and real estate paralegal.

Several new agents have joined the Isle of Palms office of Agent Owned Realty. Margaret Hekker has more than 10 years experience in real estate and 15 years in advertising and marketing. Jerry Weaver is an avid surfer and goes to Costa Rica at least once a year, coaches basketball and has five years of real estate experience. Bill Gangi is a Realtor and has been in the business since 2002. He has been a member of the East Cooper Top Producers and holds ABR, SRES, e-Certified designations. Gangi offers full service to both residential and commercial buyers and sellers of real estate in the Greater Charleston area. John Crowley graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and is a commander, U.S. Coast Guard, retired. Crowley has 14 years of real estate experience. Charles O'Morrow attended Ohio University, where he received a bachelor of science in business with a minor in real estate, as well as an MBA. He has 13 years of real estate experience. Glenda Sizemore has two years of real estate experience and has been a business owner in the Mount Pleasant area for several years. Jonathan Crompton is a swim coach and instructor and has two years of real estate experience.

Retail

Elizabeth Royall and Amanda Burch, Charleston natives, were recently promoted to managers of the Mount Pleasant and Charleston Wonder Works local toy stores. Both graduated in May from the College of Charleston with bachelor of science degrees in business administration. They have been employed with Wonder Works for the past seven years.
