Garden Calendar
MASTER GARDENER : The 2009 Clemson Master Gardener Class is accepting applications for the course beginning Oct. 8 at North Charleston City Hall. If you have a green thumb, a thirst for knowledge and can commit to putting your skills to work through volunteer service, this class may be for you. Tri-county residents can apply through July 10 for the upcoming training. Selected participants will receive an in-depth education in botany, plant physiology, plant pathology, entomology, soil science, landscape design and plant identification. Each participant in the 40-hour class will be expected to volunteer the same number of hours to their county Extension Service answering plant and landscape problem inquiries. Applications can be downloaded at www.clemson.edu/extension/mg/counties/tri_county/index.html or by e-mailing Master Gardener coordinator Amy Dabbs at adabbs@clemson.edu.
