Animal society to hold kitten event

Charleston Animal Society in the last month has received more than 100 kittens who need good homes.

To help encourage adoptions, the shelter is holding a special event from 4 to 8 p.m. today . The adoption fee will be reduced to $45, which includes vaccinations, a microchip, testing, spaying or neutering and one month of pet insurance. The shelter is at 2455 Remount Road in North Charleston. For more information, call 747-4849.
