Opening this week

"SEA MARKS ": The Footlight Players open their summer season with a production of "Sea Marks," an emotional and humorous tale of romance between a man of the sea and a city woman. Performances take place at 20 Queen St. at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 3 p.m. June 28. Tickets are $20 adult, $18 senior, $15 student and can be purchased at www.footlightplayers.net or by calling 722-4487. Following each performance, Tommy Condon's Irish Pub on Church Street and O'Malley's Bar and Grille on King Street will hold an after party.

Theater

"A FLEA IN HER EAR ": If you missed the Village Playhouse's production of Georges Feydeau's classic French farce "A Flea in Her Ear" earlier this year, it is being reprised this summer. When it opened back in February, our reviewer called it "a must-see for theater-lovers." Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week at the Village Playhouse, Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and $20 students and may be purchased at villageplayhouse.com or by calling 856-1579.

THEATRE 99: The Have Nots! and Theatre 99 are offering three shows this week. At 8 p.m. Wednesday, it is Laugh for a Lincoln, featuring three acts of improv comedy. Tickets are $5. On Friday at 8, it's the Improv Smackdown at 8 p.m., 50 percent game show and 50 percent sporting event. Tickets are $10. Music

OLD EXCHANGE SERIES : Chamber Music Charleston presents its 2009 Old Exchange Summer Concert Series on Tuesday. Violinist Megan Allison, violist Gretchen Frazier and cellist Timothy O'Malley will be joined by actor Clarence Felder for a 1791 Chamber Music Soiree. The Old Exchange Building, 122 East Bay St. 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 each or $48 for a three-concert subscription. For tickets, call 763-4941 or visit www.ChamberMusicCharleston.org.

MOONLIGHT MIXER : Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission presents a Moonlight Mixer on Friday. Dance the night away under the stars at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier as DJ Rob Duren spins the hottest oldies and beach music. Beverages will be available for purchase on-site, and food and snacks will be available for purchase. Folly Beach Fishing Pier, 101 E.
