Charleston man jumped from bridge
MOUNT PLEASANT — A man whose body was found Monday night at a marina in Charleston's harbor jumped from the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge on Sunday, officials said.
Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kelly Myers identified the man as Travis Myers, 55, of downtown Charleston. She said Myers' vehicle was towed from the bridge Sunday morning.
He was found floating in the water Monday night near a dock at the Charleston Harbor Resort Marina.
A teenage couple spotted the body near the end of a dock at the Patriots Point Road resort shortly before 9 p.m. They told a man on nearby boat about the find and asked him to call police, according to a police report.
Authorities found Myers' body in the water. He was dead when they arrived, police said.

Probably another bridge jumper. The problem is, as soon as authorities decide that the person commit suicide and that was what happened, that's the last you hear of the story. Tomorrow there'll be no trace of this story in the P&C.

Should have just pushed his body back into the current and down river to the next precinct. Floaters, depending on how long they've been in the water, are hard to solve without any ID.

I'd wonder if the poor man wasn't fishing somewhere and fell in...
the currents would wash him along.

Apparently MANDO didn't read the story. So if it was your kid would you want someone to just push them back in for the next precinct? If it was your attempt to be a complete @#$%, you succeeded. You could show a little respect for the family of this person.

Kingjack, cut Mando some slack. That information was not included in the story earlier. This is very sad.

Don't ask me to cut him some slack, ask the family and friends of the "floater", as he/she put it. No respect of the dead. Plain and simple. And Mando has a voice, I doubt that he/she needs you to take of for him.

T.L. worked for Marine Contracting (now McAllister Towing), White Stack (now Moran Towing), Turecamo Marine (now Moran Towing), Turecamo Environmental (now Moran Environmental), and Moran Towing ever since he was in high school. If he wasn't working on a tugboat somewhere in Charleston Harbor he was working on the docks here, every day of his entire life. His father had been in the military and T.L. respected him to the utmost extent possible. He would bend over backwards to help anyone out. He grew up with Councilman/State Rep Wendell Gilliard and a number of other local big names from the East Side of Charleston. The paper states they will post more on Wednesday. I hope they do some digging and mention that T.L. died where he had always lived and worked.

Well ColtSW, I have to say that I served with several fully clothed black men that could swin quite well. they wore our nations uniform. Oh, suprises abound that someone like you, a very angry little shell of a person would take the death of someone that you don't know and use it as a bullypulpit, just to see what kind of responses you get. i would be willing to say you wouldn't DARE say even one of these racists comments in the company of anyone of color, you just hide here and do it. Coward. If its any consolation to your poor pathetic life, you can rest assured that there will be some jagoff just like you poking your obituary with a stick on P&C with you leave this earth.
