Opening this week

"A FLEA IN HER EAR": If you missed the Village Playhouse's production of Georges Feydeau's classic French farce "A Flea in Her Ear" earlier this year, it is being reprised this summer. When it opened back in February, our reviewer called it "a must-see for theater-lovers." Performances will be 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week and next at the Village Playhouse, Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and $20 for students, and may be purchased at villageplayhouse.com or by calling 856-1579.

Music

CELTIC ENSEMBLE: The Air Force Heritage Aire Celtic Ensemble from Langley Air Force Base, Va., is in town for two performances this week. Monday at 7 p.m., it will perform at the Charleston County Main Library, 68 Calhoun St. At the same time on Wednesday, it will perform with local musicians the Hungry Monks at North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 E. Montague Ave.

"BLUES IN THE NIGHT": A Lowcountry buffet and music by Eddie Shaw and The Wolf Gang and Satan and Adam will take place 4-8 p.m. today at Rivercourse Club at the Kiawah Island Beach Club, 10 River Course. $25. 768-9166.

GOSPEL CONCERT: Big Man and the Gospel Enforcer will perform at 4 p.m. today at James Chapel AME Church, 1550 Mulberry St. $10 adults, $5 children 7-12. 442-9878.
