SUNDAY

Culinary event benefits Roper St. Francis Cancer Center

Lowcountry diners will have a unique opportunity to experience the culinary offerings of four of the Lowcountry's top chefs as they team up to prepare a 4-course dinner 5-8 p.m. Sunday in the historic Long Room at McCrady's Restaurant.

The event will benefit the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center.

McCrady's executive chef Sean Brock, recently named a semi-finalist for a James Beard Award in the category of Rising Star Chef of the Year, has recruited the skills of fellow executive chefs Craig Deihl of Cypress, Anthony Gray of High Cotton and Jeremiah Bacon of Carolina's. With the theme "Planting the Seeds of Hope," the chefs will combine their culinary talents to present a menu featuring fresh, local ingredients and organic produce from Thorn Hill Farm in McClellanville and Brock's Wadmalaw Island farm.

Each chef will prepare and present one course on the menu. Recipes for each dish will be provided to those who attend. Each course will be paired with a selection of premium domestic wines.

Tickets for the evening are $125 per person. Seating is limited to 100 guests. For information or to reserve tickets, call the Roper St. Francis Event Line at 843-789-1760 or visit www.rsfh.com/seedsofhope.
