SpoletoToday.com (finally) has a little bit of controversy, with disagreement over "Good Cop, Bad Cop."
Blanche Johnson comments on the Carol Furtwangler review: "This was the biggest waste of money yet. I could have stayed home, watched my cat and saved $32!"
But John Narkunas says "It was time well spent..." and Sarah Walker says "I loved this performance."
You can judge for yourself. The performances continue through the festival with shows tonight at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Burton Sauls has a preview of Drink Small's second performance this evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mad River Bar and Grille along with an audio clip... SpoJos Ian and Kathy May have photographs and a first-hand look at Early Music Series: Music Of Spain Con Brio ... Susan Chaffin gives the prickly details of "Quills."
Free tickets
We have five tickets to Sunday's 3 p.m. performance of La Cage Aux Folles at Footlight Players, so we can have two sets of winners, a twofer and a trio. Tune in this afternoon at 2 p.m. to answer the questions and win.
On Saturday
Don't forget the Piccolo Finale is Saturday at Hampton Park from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The theme is "A Global Village of World Music" with groups from around the Lowcountry performing.
And buy your Spoleto Festival Finale tickets through Saturday and get two tickets for the price of one. It's a great concert at Middleton Place with time to have a picnic beforehand. They are $32, so you save a bunch.
