Staff report
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
A division of Honeywell International will create 80 jobs and invest $10.5 million over five years to expand its industrial glove-making operation in York County, the state Commerce Department said Tuesday.
Honeywell Safety Products is investing in its Clover plant to accommodate a new product to line of protective and safety gloves for fire service, utility and general industrial workers.
The initial investment of $4.5 million and creation of the first 30 jobs are expected in 2010, with the rest of the investment and jobs coming online by 2013.
Honeywell said hiring will begin in January on its Web site, honeywell.com.
