Caulder Moore cruised to an easy victory Thursday in the 55th annual Al Esposito Junior Golf Tournament, shooting a 1-under-par 71 at Charleston Municipal Golf Course to earn a nine-shot win.
Moore, an Isle of Palms resident who plays for Wando, finished the 36-hole event at 7-under-par 137. Garris Killingsworth was second at 146, while Ryan Cavanaugh, Paul Couch, Blake Maull and Jackson Moore tied for third at 148.
Moore, the reigning South Carolina Junior champion, was unable to match Wednesday's 66. He bogeyed two of the first three holes, then got hot and birdied 5, 6 and 7 to get under par. He shot 35 on the front nine and an even-par 36 on the back with a bogey on the par-4 13th and a birdie on the par-5 15th.
