Charleston Artist Guild honors Bobo with exhibit
The Charleston Artist Guild is honoring past member Vincent Bobo, an active member of the Guild who passed away last month, with a commemorative art exhibit entitled "Reflections." There will be an opening reception for "Reflections" this Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Guild Gallery, located at 6 North Atlantic Wharf, downtown. Susan Bobo will be on hand during the reception to represent the artist.
A highlight of the exhibit will be the unveiling of a portrait of Vincent to be presented to his wife Susan and his children, Vincent Jr., Clark, Ryan and Octavia. The portrait which depicts Vincent at his easel, was painted by portrait artist Bob Wilson, Jr. and is a personal gift to the Vincent family from the Wilsons.
Bobo was a Charleston native and Air Force veteran. As an artist, he was basically self-taught, using his imagination to interpret life. He has received numerous awards and was an associate member of the American Watercolor Society, a member of the SC Watercolor Society, Charleston Artist Guild and Summerville Artist Guild in which he was a past president.
His work is included in private and corporate collections around the world.

A wonderful portrait of my uncle Vincent. Our Lord Jesus Christ has called him to rest, but he will forever live on in our memories. Rest in Christ.
