Dogs' Wojciechowski throwing well for USA
CARY, N.C. — The Citadel's Asher Wojciechowski struck out two of the three Guatemalan batters he faced in a one-inning relief performance Thursday at the National Training Complex in Cary.
Wojciechowski was one of four American pitchers to combine for Team USA's first shutout as the United States defeated Guatemala, 10-0.
Wojciechowski, a rising junior for The Citadel, has now struck out 10 batters in two appearances in international competition this summer for the United States National Team.
Team USA (7-0) has won 31 consecutive games, dating back to last summer.
