3 charged in robbery
Five people were robbed by a group of young bandits armed with a pellet-gun early Friday in downtown Charleston, and the youngest of the alleged criminals was 11 years old.
The robbery occurred about 12:15 a.m. at Broad and Legare streets. The victims gave police a description of the robbers and their getaway car, and police arrested three people after a traffic stop about 10 minutes later, said Charles Francis, police public information officer.
Tyler Griham, 18, of Elgin and an 11-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl are each charged with five counts of armed robbery, Francis said. The juveniles were not named because of their age.

Perhaps we should stop codling these little theives and name them. So what if they are under 18. It is about time these children learn to take responsibility for their actions!

County court records shows Tyler Griham under $100,000 bond. Now this 18 year old young man has a criminal record for armed robbery. Who wants to hire him in the future? He should have been at home and in bed at that time of night. In fact, all the people robbed should have been home also.

Well well well, who wants to say they are good kids just got caught up in a bad situation - don't think so. They start the future criminals of america off early these days. I am sure this was a swearing in for them before they got promoted to full time criminal!! This is ridiculous. This is where you wish it was like China and you can only have one kid and if you can't take care of it they take it away from you so it won't end up like this. Too bad we don't have to be interviewed before we have a kid like we do before we get hired for a job.

attention 1963,
you are missing the big picture.
at this moment in time, there are literally thousands of young hoods and gang members plotting their next act of violence
on innocent people.
perhaps in your own community.
getting hired for a job is the LAST thing these kids want, WAKE UP.

Take those juveniles and strap thier young tails up to the nearest whipping post in front of the community they robbed and I bet it'll be along time before they think of doing it again. But since we are a civilsed country.. where were the parents? Should'nt they be held partly accountable for not knowing where thier children were? The eighteen year old should be severely punshied to show the minors what can happen to those who break the law and terrorize thier community.

Tyler is my boyfriend he has been through so much in his life. If something happend to your boyfriend, I'm sure you would do everything you could to help him. Tyler was going to come home the day that he was arrested but of coarse things happened. I'm just asking that if anybody reads this I hope they understand. Tyler is my everything and I love him very much, if they would give him a second chance, he would very much be happpy and so would I. I miss him so much and I'm sure he will never do anything else like this again. Thanks so much. Holley
